Glorious Campania

We loved it and practically went native. Exploring every day. Pompei on Monday, over the mountains to Campobasso yesterday and Napoli today. We need a day at home to recover now, so a restful time tomorrow after the market at Amorosi. Napoli was quite an experience, a fascinating city as long as you have your wits about you.

We love the house and everything about it and where it is and it feels like Louisa the owner has done us a personal favour by letting us stay here. And the thing we had never guessed was how kind everyone is. We can’t speak the language but we try and everyone has been lovely. Especially at the restaurant next door where we have already eaten twice and plan to again on Friday. We are already sad to be going home.

Great Villa – Great Location

What a great villa! We loved staying at Casa Sofia. Its near Naples, Sorrento and Amalfi Coast but far enough away to enjoy parts of Italy we have never seen before. It is very well equipped with all you could ask for and it is set up for the English market. the little touches such as adapter plugs, hair dryer and english DVDs, CDs and Books were welcomed. Louisa the owner has really thoughts about the guests and provided what we needed.

The large area outside the villa was a godsend and the trees just lovely and cooling. the lady who met us was lovely and spoke excellent English. We loved the local restaurants and enjoyed exploring The Cave restaurant which is unique and great prices. We couldnt believe how good and how cheap the wine was.

We would recommend staying at Casa Sofia. The experience from booking to staying at the villa was a pleasure. From Louisa to the locals they were all so helpful and made us really feel at home. As villas in Italy go this was one of the best we have stayed in.

Well equipped villa in gorgeous location

What a gorgeous little villa. Located in the mountains of Campania this villa is lovely. It has a large area for relaxation and dining. A swimming pool which kept us cool and the villa was so well equipped we didnt want for anything. We loved the area and there was so much see. We visited Monte Cassino, Benevento, Royal Palace at Caserta. Just lovely quaint places with lots of history. We loved the area and the villa and are already planning our next trip.

“Lovely well equipped villa in beautiful surroundings”

My husband, I and 12 year old daughter stayed in Casa Sofia for a week last May 2012, and had a wonderful and relaxing time. The owners were so helpful every step of the way, the villa was beautiful and a lot of thought had been put into making the visitors feel at home. We spent a few days relaxing at the villa and eating in the local restaurants, but also explored the surroundings too. Driving on the Amalfi Coast road, visiting Sorrento, Pompeii and even climbing Mount Versuivious. The highlight of our holiday though was visiting a local farm to make traditional pizza and enjoy an antipasti lunch with wine organised by the owners. It was fabulous and a day none of us will ever forget.

“Relaxing stay in spacious, well equipped villa.”

Really enjoyed our stay in Casa Sofia. The villa was spacious and comfortable with excellent amenities (including WIFI), and is within easy reach of the local village/amenities. The area is quite rural and is ideal for a relaxing holiday. The towns of Telese Terme and Caserta are a short drive away, and the Royal Palace in Caserta is well worth a visit. The views from the convent San Pasquale are spectacular. Louisa offers a really friendly and helpful service.

Would definitely recommend.

“Relax You’re Home – and Just Look at the Scenery!”

Let’s start with the helpfulness of the owners. We were delighted with the thoughtfulness and care received when making the booking. When we eventually walked in we felt ‘at home’. It was immediately obvious that we were going to like Casa Sofia as much (possibly?) as the owners. The care received in booking was reflected in the appearance of Casa Sofia. It ensured the holiday was off to a good start. The accommodation was really well looked after, modern and properly maintained. Since a picture tells a thousand words – I’m happy to let the pictures on ownersdirect [Jul 2013] do the talking. The small outside pool was much appreciated as was the air conditioning which we used infrequently but when needed!

Casa Sofia is convenient enough for a range of shops [you rarely get secluded with a range of shops next door!] and there is a good local restaurant just up the road. We toured the surrounding area (and Amalfi Coast) by car and foot and had a longer than planned day in Naples! Naples we wouldn’t ever recommend to anyone at the moment, but it was a transit via point for Herculaneum, which we would recommend. Would we return to Casa Sofia? When we want to re-visit this area again, Casa Sofia will be our first choice, with no caveats.

“Wonderful Tranquil Stay”

We stayed at the Casa Sofia for New Year 2012 and instantly booked are next trip the day we got home.. A wonderful, modern and romantic hide away full of italian charm and beauty. Nothing was overlooked for our stay and we had fantastic support with local assistance if needed, we were met by Anna who speaks impeccable english and she had lit a fire and provided a welcome pack! The property is spotless with every modern appliance and a great kitchen diner with plenty of room.. Our only regret was coming home. We are looking forwards to our next stay – in a couple of weeks.
